Area Guide [Odaiba]
Odaiba, located in the Tokyo Bay waterfront area, is one of the tourist hot spots in Tokyo. There are so many exciting places for shopping, dining, and amusement spots that you cannot cover them all in one day. Take the New Transit Yurikamome train or waterbus to save your time and tour more effectively around Odaiba. If you get tired of walking, you can take a rest at the park in front of the seashore. At night, enjoy having dinner in a romantic atmosphere with a fantastic night view of the illuminated Rainbow Bridge.
Sightseeing
Odaiba Kaihin Koen (Odaiba Seaside Park)
Located on the white sand beach, Odaiba Kaihin Koen is a place for sunbathing, walking, jogging, or even windsurfing. From the evening to late into the night, the illuminated Rainbow Bridge in front of the park creates surreal atmosphere. On the western corner of the beach stands the Statue of Liberty, a replica of the Statue of Liberty in France that was borrowed and set up in Odaiba in April 1998 to mark "Japan-France Year in Japan." This has now become a popular location for photographers.
National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation
With astronaut Mr. Mamoru Mohri as its director, the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation offers you the opportunity to enjoy experiencing advanced science technologies. The concept of this museum is to make people familiarize themselves with science through playing around with hands-on exhibitions and communicating directly with scientists, engineers, science communicators and volunteer staff stationed within the museum. There are demonstrations featuring the famous biped-walking robot ASIMO, special exhibitions and various events for visitors to participate in. Visitors can get a glimpse of advanced science technology in the experimental workshop that is available by advanced reservation. Enjoy yourself with your family at this museum.
O-Edo Onsen Monogatari
Since O-Edo Onsen Monogatari was opened in 2003 as the first theme park of Onsen (hot springs) in Japan, it has become a popular onsen amusement park among people of all the ages due to its favorable location. The park also reproduces the traditional streetscape of Edo (old Tokyo). Inside the building, you can change your clothes for a Yukata (traditional Japanese bathrobe) they have. In this town retaining the atmosphere of the old Edo town, there are baths fed by natural hot springs flowing from their source 1,400m underground, a footbath which men and women can bathe in together, as well as restaurants and gift shops. You can also experience traditional Japanese games that were common among children during the Edo Period (1603-1867).

AQUA CiTY ODAIBA
AQUA CiTY ODAIBA is a complex facility of entertainment areas and a shopping mall adjacent to Odaiba Seaside Park. All kinds of attractive shops such as Le Edo where you can find local specialties and gifts of Odaiba and Nodaya where selected Japanese Sake and Sakana (Japanese snacks that goes with sake) are on presentation. There is also the G-SHOCK STORE, the first of Casio's pilot stores where you can find the famous G-Shock series of watches. At the Sanrio VIVITEX shop, you can find Sanrio character goods of all kinds. You will not want to miss the popular Ramen Kokugikan Saikyo Basho where you can enjoy various tastes of Ramen noodles from all over Japan at the 6 Ramen stalls and shops located here.
Decks Tokyo Beach
Decks Tokyo Beach is an entertainment facility as well as exciting shopping location in Odaiba. There is Daiba 1-Chome Shotengai shopping mall that recreates the streets of the fourth decade of the Showa Era (mid-50's to mid-60's). There, you can enjoy browsing Omoshiro T-shirts-ya (fun t-shirt shop) with many t-shirts designed with Japanese cartoon characters or Jidai-ya (history mania shop) where you will find goods related to Japanese history or modeled from historical characters or incidents. At the Sakura Shoten shop, you can get a one of a kind gift at a reasonable price like a wooden plate with your favorite Japanese characters written on it with a traditional Japanese brush pen.
Venus Fort
Venus Fort is a theme park-style shopping mall specially designed for women and modeled from Medieval European streets and buildings. The ceiling of the building represents the sky changing itself from the blue sky to evening sunset, and to the night sky under which you can enjoy shopping. You can find a pair of popular jeans such as Evisu Jeans or Yama-chan Jeans at the street fashion shop named Drygoods Comfort. If you look for Japanese style fashion, visit SOU SOU where they stock Japanese traditional clothes arranged in a modern design. There, you will find original tabi (Japanese split toe socks), Japanese traditional-taste clothing, accessories and fancy goods.

Tsukiji Uemura
Many people come to Tsukiji Uemura to enjoy shabu shabu (thinly-sliced beef to dip in boiled soup with vegetables). You will also love sukiyaki (thin slices of beef and vegetables cooked at your table in soy sauce, sake and sugar) as well as other a la carte cuisine or set menus of Japanese dishes that come with steamed rice and miso soup at a reasonable price. Private rooms for three to four people are best for families and friends to enjoy an intimate meal. There is also a fine selection of domestically-produced meat and all-you-can-eat or all you can drink options on the menu as well.
The Oven American Buffet
